OUR MISSION

We strive to end hunger and poverty by demonstrating compassion to those in need through food, clothing, financial resources, and educational programs.

WHY IT'S IMPORTANT TO DEMONSTRATE COMPASSION

Along with providing the services our clients need, the most important way we serve our clients is by demonstrating compassion. Providing assistance without compassion places a client who is already in a vulnerable situation, who may feel guilt or shame, in an even lower place. Compassion gives us the ability to understand someone’s situation, put ourselves in their shoes, and work with them to find a solution. When clients walk into Sharing Life, they are greeted with dignity, respect, and most of all, compassion.

OUR SERVICES

Sharing Life began as a food pantry. As we’ve grown, we have been blessed by donors, supporters, and partners to add additional services, making us one of the few organizations in the DFW area that provide the full range of services that we do. In addition to food, we offer clothing, utility assistance, medical equipment, educational programs, financial coaching, and shelter for our unhoused neighbors. If we do not offer the service, we have many resources available to our clients to free them from visiting multiple offices to receive the assistance they need.
