Volunteers are essential to the work of Sharing Life. Whether you’re helping serve clients through our food pantry, sorting clothes, packing meals, or volunteering at one of our events, you are making a difference in the lives of our clients and our community and we could not do this without you.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
There are many areas and times in which you and/or your group can volunteer. With our full services list, those volunteer opportunities can range from admin to restocking our pantry shelves or helping bring Christmas cheer to a family during our annual Christmas Faire.
INDIVIDUALS
We are always looking for volunteers to serve at Sharing Life. Times range from 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM. We could not serve our clients without your help, which is why you are VITAL to our community. You can sign up below!
GROUPS
We LOVE group volunteers! Volunteering at Sharing Life is a great team-building activity for your company, life group, school, and any other group you’re a part of! Groups allow us to work on larger projects in our facility.

FAQ
The first step would be to fill out our volunteer application. You can do that by visiting us in person at 3795 W. Emporium Circle, Mesquite, TX 75150 or by clicking here.
Minimum age requirements vary by opportunity. Anyone under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian signature on their volunteer application prior to volunteering. Anyone age 14 or younger must have a parent or guardian volunteering with them for at least their first volunteer shift and on a case by case basis for any shifts that follow.
Yes. You can earn community service hours here at Sharing Life. Please bring any paperwork that require signatures for proof of volunteering with you. We also provide blank hour completion forms on our letterhead, if needed.
We have volunteer shifts every weekday. Every weekday morning from 8:30am to 12:30pm, Monday through Thursday Afternoons 12:30pm to 4:30pm. We also have occasional Saturday opportunities which require advance sign up. You can view and sign up for all of our regular opportunities at the following link by clicking here.
We follow the Center for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines and are no longer requiring masks or social distancing in the building for volunteers. If you would prefer to wear a mask while volunteering, you are certainly welcome to do so. If you are volunteering in our Food Pantry or warehouse, you must wear closed-toe shoes.
